Become a guide in IKSU frilufts
The section for those with a strong interest in outdoor activities who enjoy meeting new people
IKSU Outdoor recruits new leaders for the section every year. The leadership training takes place during spring and begins with a kick-off weekend in January in the Umeå area. After that, there will be about ten meetings and a three-day winter trip. Large parts of the training are problem-based, and as a participant, you will take significant responsibility for your own development.
We expect that anyone applying for our training wants to volunteer as a leader in IKSU Outdoor, meaning leading tours and participating in planning and other meetings (about twice a month). In return, you will have the opportunity to take part in subsidized leader activities such as mountain trips, further training, and other joint leader events.
The training costs 1,800 SEK (2025). The price includes travel, course materials, and equipment rental.
