We create connections.
In the summer we train at our rugby pitch Nydalafältet Tuesdays and Thursdays. In the winter and early Spring we train at IKSU sport and artificial pitches, times can vary. If you're interested, send us an email to get the current training schedule.
IKSU rugby is one of IKSU’s 16 sections. We’re proud to say that the world’s most fun and complete sport is now easily accessible at IKSU for anyone interested in training, playing, or just giving it a try. We have a fantastic and welcoming community, with both a women’s and a men’s team that train together. We're always excited when someone discovers rugby!
Rugby has been played in Umeå since 2008, and following the 2015 annual meeting, IKSU rugby became one of IKSU’s newer sections. As of 2026 we have men's team that compete in the AllSvenskan Norr, a women's team who compete in the national 7's and a kids section that plays numerous rugby festivals during the summer. Rugby is a community based sport where hard but respectful competition is a culture. We are members of the Swedish Rugby Federation and welcome everyone—regardless of experience, size, speed, or gender—into our community and the amazing world of rugby.
