About the trip

Join us for an overnight trip to beautiful Holmön, Sweden’s sunniest island. After a ride on Sweden’s longest road ferry, we’ll explore this magical place, its mushroom-filled forests and rugged cliffs during a two-day adventure, including a night of camping on the beach with delicious food and great company.

  • Date: 4-5 October 2025
  • Place: Holmön
  • Price: 350 SEK

Trip description

We’ll meet at 09:45 at the ferry landing in Byviken on Holmön. From there, we’ll hike about three kilometers to our beachside campsite, where we’ll drop off our gear and enjoy lunch. After our break, we’ll head out on a seven-kilometer hike through mystical mushroom-filled forests, across bird-rich wetlands, and past small lakes before returning to camp to cook dinner over an open fire. Before we head into our tents and sleeping bags, we’ll enjoy an evening fika together, with the sound of waves in the background.
On Sunday, we’ll start the day with an outdoor brunch before packing up and heading back toward Byviken. Once there, we’ll leave our bags and set off on a shorter five-kilometer hike along Holmön’s magical cliffs — with a fika break, of course.
We’ll finish the trip around 16:30, just in time to catch the ferry back to the mainland.
