Discover bouldering nearby Umeå! On the beautiful cliff at Krogberget you'll find challenging climbing for beginners as well as climbers with a little more experience.

Trip description
A Saturday in September is best spent at the climbing cliff on Krogberget, especially if bouldering sounds like something for you. Bouldering is a form of climbing where you climb at relatively low heights. Instead of ropes and harnesses, thick mattresses, so-called crash pads, are used to cushion any falls. In bouldering the routes are called problems, and on Krogberget there are as many as 75 problems of varying difficulty between 3 and 7b, so there is something for everyone!
This tour is tailor-made for people who want to step outside of the climbing gym and discover climbing spots in Umeå's surroundings. In addition to the climbing, we will have lunch cooked on an open fire and enjoy the view from the mountain.

Prerequisites
No climbing experience required. Participants need to be able to carry their own gear up the short but relatively steep path to the cliff.

Equipment
During the pre-meeting we go through all equipment and make eventual adjustments of the packing list, for example depending on the weather.
Much of the equipment is available for rental in our outdoor shop Sarek. As a participant you get a reduced price.
